A Journey of Flavor, Growth, and What’s Next
Three years. It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were standing next to our salt ponds on Imjado, wondering if anyone would care about a small-batch sea salt from a family farm in Korea. Now, here we are—three years, countless lessons, and more late nights than we care to admit—still growing, still experimenting, and still completely in awe of the support you’ve given us.
From One Salt to a World of Flavor
Josu started with a single ingredient: pure sea salt, harvested by hand the way Hae-Sin’s great-grandfather did 75 years ago. Then we started to wonder—what if we took it a step further? We mixed, we tested, we failed a lot, and we found some magic along the way. The result? A lineup of salts that aren’t just seasonings but little moments of discovery—flavors that turn an ordinary meal into something worth remembering.
We’ve done collaborations that pushed us in new directions, launched limited-edition batches that sold out faster than we expected, and learned that the best ideas come from our customers - keep them coming.

More Than Just Salt: The People Who Make It Happen
If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that Josu isn’t just about us. It’s about the team—the small but mighty group of people who pour themselves into this company every day. It’s about the chefs who tell us our salt makes a difference, the home cooks who share their creations, and the community that keeps us pushing forward. You don’t build a brand or a business alone.
Looking Ahead to 2025
For 2025, we are focusing on getting into small specialty grocery stores, growing our Amazon business and a handful of partnerships. Got any suggestions on how to do that? Please get in touch.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being here. Whether you’ve been with us since the start or just found us, you are the reason we keep going.
Wishing you a joyful and prosperous Korean New Year. Here’s to another year of flavor, discovery, and making every meal a little more memorable.
